What Creates a Pittsburgh Probate Lawyer?
I was first introduced to the probate process when Joe’s parents passed away—both of them—while we were still in our early 20s.

Overwhelmed
We were young, grieving, and completely unprepared for the legal maze or family conflict that followed. No one had talked to us about estate plans or what probate even meant. There was no guidebook, no roadmap—just court forms, deadlines, and a swirl of financial and emotional stress.

That experience changed me. It planted the seed for the work I do now: helping families navigate probate with more clarity, compassion, and confidence than we ever had back then.

Call Wendy
The "Call Wendy" comes from one of my very first estate planning clients decades ago. I was sitting with a couple—a pilot and a teacher—when the teacher said, "I don't worry because if something happens, I'll call Wendy." Twenty-six years later, that statement has stayed with me. I know how important it is to know exactly who to call when hard things happen.

Community Contributions
Over the years, I’ve found real joy in empowering and being there for my fellow humans—and it’s always a bonus when I get to know yet another beautiful Pittsburgh soul. Whether I’m meeting someone from the North Hills, sharing stories in the Strip District, or connecting with families from Mt. Lebanon to Sewickley or Fox Chapel to Squirrel Hill, each relationship reminds me why this work matters.—And it’s always a bonus when I get to know yet another beautiful Pittsburgh soul.
Credentials
I hold a law degree and am licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In addition to practicing law, I’ve had the opportunity to serve on the senior executive team of a national attorney corporation and advise fellow attorneys on how to help more people by building strong, effective businesses.

Working Together
I've never done any of this alone, and I don't help Pittsburgh families through the probate process alone either. I've created a beautiful team to make the magic happen behind the scenes.

Blessings,

Behind the scenes, many others play an essential role in taking the estate from where it is now to where we all want it to be. More paralegals and assistants, quality control managers, the courts and their support teams, Enrolled Agents, CPAs, accountants, Bond companies, the Department of Revenue, and even the Pennsylvania Attorney General and the IRS have significant roles in taking every probate case over the finish line.
